sign in with X to prove which account is yours. if it matches a profile here, the card and profile disappear immediately.
X requires the read-only users.read and tweet.read scopes for account identification. this site calls only /2/users/me. it cannot post, follow, like, or read DMs. the access token is discarded after this request and no refresh token is requested.
the X account id comes directly from X and is matched server-side. a handle typed into a form is never accepted as proof of ownership.
